au revoir and happy holidays!

New passport cover and bag tag for the trip!

It seems like I’ve only just got back into blogging after a one month school camp and I’m off already but at least this time there will be no living with 23 other girls in the middle of the wilderness. This time there will be shopping and skiing involved a lot of shopping and skiing.

Tomorrow I say Au Revoir to good old Auckland and board a plane to San Francisco where we stay for a night and let me tell you I will be making full use of that afternoon shopping it up before flying to Denver Colorado the next morning. We then drive up to Leadville where we will be staying for just under two weeks. Now I doubt you’ve heard of Leadville before or for that case have any clue where it is located but it is a half an hour drive from Copper Mountain, is the highest populated town in the whole of America (and by highest I’m referring to the altitude – not the number of people living there) From what I’ve heard it’s filled with toothless hillbillies and the nicest restaurant we could find for Christmas dinner is Taco Bell but you know, what can one do. I mean it doesn’t sound quite like the ‘chalet girl’ situation I’ve dreamed of but we’re there to ski after all. I’m sure it’s not as bad as I’ve made it out to be though to be honest I am very excited about having my first white Christmas that is if the weather forecast on my iphone is anything to go by and spending New Years on the mountain surrounded by bonfires, fireworks and pro skiers sounds pretty good to me!

Then we move on to Vail where I hopefully might be lucky enough to spot some celebrities hitting up the slopes! Then finally, for the last leg of our journey is the one and only Los Angeles! I’ve already mapped out all the stores I’m planning on going to as well as visiting Disney land (of course!) So while the rest of my friends are hitting the beaches and working on their tans down here in the Southern hemisphere I will be vigorously applying sunblock to my face in order to protect myself from the dreaded goggle tan..

So, I will try my very best to update Rosa & Fox while I’m away but I’m not too sure if the wireless in Leadville will be too flash but when I come back I will have plenty to blog about! So have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and I will see you all in 2013!
